At DMO Osaka Umeda, we regularly host networking events to enhance communication, exchange information, and strengthen collaboration among our members. In addition to inviting external speakers for lectures and workshops on MICE-related topics, we are planning future activities such as tours of newly opened facilities, hands-on experiences at Umeda venues, and group work sessions to brainstorm MICE-related ideas.
For our recent event, we were honored to have Mr. Inoue, Director General, Secretariat of the Headquarters for the World Expo 2025, Cabinet Secretariat, as our guest speaker. The event was held at NORIBA10 umeda, an exclusive members-only event space that opened in February this year near Hankyu Osaka Umeda Station.
Under the theme “Less Than a Year to Go Until the Osaka-Kansai Expo,” Mr. Inoue shared details about latest updates on various pavilions, planned demonstrations and implementations within the Expo grounds, theme weeks, and other key aspects of the Expo. He also discussed the nationwide and Kansai-specific initiatives spurred by the Expo.

After the informative lecture, a networking gathering was held where Mr. Inoue continued to engage with our members. Hearing directly from someone at the forefront of the Expo preparations significantly heightened our anticipation and excitement for the upcoming Osaka and Umeda events next year.
