From November 26 to December 6, 2024, we collaborated with the organizers of innovation-related business events held in Umeda to enhance the overall experience of MICE events in the area.

Business Events Held:

• November 26 (Tuesday): Hack Osaka 2024
• November 28 (Thursday) – 29 (Friday): Innovation Stream KANSAI 8.0
• December 5 (Thursday) – 6 (Friday): JR West Japan Group Innovation & Challenge Day 2024

Hack Osaka is a startup festival that has been held since 2013, and this year’s event saw the highest attendance ever, with 1,024 participants onsite and 159 online. DMO introduced “THE JACKSON GARDEN,” a newly opened venue at GRAND GREEN OSAKA, as the reception venue for this event.

Additionally, we named the duration of the multiple business events as “UMEDA INNOVATION WEEKS.” To enhance the overall atmosphere of the events, we implemented integrated promotional activities using signage advertising around Umeda.Additionally, we created and distributed coupons for local restaurants to speakers and participants of the various business events. This encouraged MICE participants to explore more of the Umeda area.

Building on the achievements and experiences from this initiative, we aim to undertake many similar projects in 2025, which will be the Expo Year.
