Hankyu Hanshin Properties, which serves as the secretariat for DMO Osaka Umeda, launched the MICE app “AIDA UMEDA”  on March 25, 2026. This initiative aims to enhance the satisfaction of MICE (Meetings, Incentive Travel, Conventions, Exhibitions/Events) participants in the Osaka Umeda area and to provide new value to all three stakeholders: organizers, participants, and the host city (Osaka Umeda) .

This application has been supported by DMO Osaka Umeda to improve the MICE experience and promote exchange in Umeda. It was developed in collaboration with Palames Co., Ltd. (Head office: Tsukuba, Ibaraki Prefecture; Representative Director: Mitsuhiro Kumagai), a venture company originating from the University of Tsukuba. Based on Palames’ event guide app “dokoiko,” the app has been formally introduced after a proof-of-concept phase for area MICE event support functions.

【Naming Concept】

The app aims to exist in the “space” (aida) between people, and between the city of Umeda and curiosity. Beyond simply delivering information, it seeks to foster new ideas and values from this “space,” thereby connecting you with the city of Umeda.

【Logo Concept】   

By combining the motifs of “A” from AIDA and “U” from UMEDA, an “I” is created in the center, symbolizing the connection between “me” (I) and the “city.

This app contributes to enhancing the brand value of “Osaka Umeda” as a MICE host city and its development as an international exchange hub. Its main features are as follows:

■ Centralization of MICE Information and Seamless Experience:

• Consolidates MICE information, such as international conferences and events, that are scattered throughout the Umeda area.
• Provides a seamless MICE experience by allowing users to consistently manage everything from information search to participation registration within the app.

■ Smooth Navigation Support and Promotion of Interaction:

• Supports smooth navigation by providing digital maps for each event venue.
• Equipped with communication features (chat) that enable participants to interact directly within the app, creating new opportunities for exchange.

■ Enhancing Stay Satisfaction through Local Information:

• Features attractive local information unique to the Osaka Umeda area, including commercial facilities and restaurants.
• Enhance satisfaction during post-MICE events (after-convention) and overall stay.
